We are delighted to welcome Dave Lewis as an Associate Lecturer to our team, bringing over 30 years of invaluable experience in festivals and live music events.
David’s career began in 1989 at the legendary Duchess Of York venue, where he learnt his trade working with iconic 90's bands like Oasis, Pulp, Nirvana, and Muse.
Over the years, he has honed his expertise in live event production, site, and logistics management, contributing to major festivals such as Download, Leeds & Reading, and Monsters of Rock.
His experience spans a wide array of events, from intimate shows to large-scale tours, including his work on the RHCP UK tour and Robbie Williams’ 2006 tour.
In 2004, David founded his own crew company, which supplied skilled crew and technicians to major events like the Diana Memorial Concert at Wembley and Global Gathering.
After a successful run, he transitioned to freelancing, where he continued to provide expert services across the UK and Europe.
During the pandemic, David expanded his skill set by earning qualifications in Health & Safety, including an NVRQ and live event-specific certifications. He remains actively engaged with the latest industry trends, ensuring his knowledge and network stay current and relevant.
We are thrilled to have David join our team, where his wealth of experience and industry insight will undoubtedly inspire and educate the next generation of event professionals.
