Keeping up with Wedding Industry Trends at NAWP Events

We attended the National Association of Wedding Professionals (NAWP) Event last night at the stunning central London venue RIBA.

Events like this are a great way for us (and our students and graduates) to meet leading event and wedding professionals and keep up to date with industry trends.... and enjoy the stunning central London RIBA venue where site tours where on offer throughout the evening.

We met every type of wedding professional including highly experienced wedding planners and those brand new to the role, wedding cake makers, lux wedding stationers, professional wedding MCs, wedding and event photographers, classic singers for weddings and an event childcare provider!

Keynote speaker at the event was Richard Griffin ACIArb Membership Director for the Consumer Code for Weddings and Events.

In his speech, Richard launched the Consumer Code for Weddings and Events, for businesses who strive for high standards and want to offer their clients additional assurance.

He advised that their code of practice aimed to raise standards and inspire confidence through a range of member benefits including;

  • Unlimited telephone advice – on areas such as consumer/contract law, general complaint handling advice etc.

  • Review and endorsement of your T&C’s - ensuring compliance with current legislation

  • Accredited training – enrolment on one of our City & Guilds training courses, covering consumer law and complaint management

  • Access to our dispute resolution service – For use when you and your customer cannot come to an agreement, our independent mediation/adjudication service can help avoid costly and lengthy litigation

  • Use of the CCWE logo – be proud to be part of CCWE, demonstrate this commitment by marketing your membership and inspire confidence in your brand

More details can be found at www.ccwe.co.uk
