FACE - TO - FACE TRAINING

With so much of our lives now spent online, our full-time students prefer an 'in-real life' learning experience.

 

That's why our full-time courses offer extensive face-to-face training in London. Expect to take in-person classes generally 3 days per week, plus event industry events, networking and excursions.

STUDENT FINANCE

Confirm your course place with a £500 deposit. UK students can pay their remaining fees one month prior to course start date or on a payment plan over 12 months. International students pay their remaining fees one month prior to course start date.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment varies per unit and elective, but generally your assessment will take the form of assignments, reports and projects.

D001. The Event Industry, Trends and Best Practice

 

This module provides a comprehensive overview of the global events industry, offering students the knowledge and skills to analyse industry structures, market trends, and best practices.

 

Students will learn how to:

  • Understand the structure of the events industry – Identify key sectors, professional roles, and industry standards.

  • Analyse emerging trends in live, hybrid, and virtual events – Examine how evolving technologies and audience preferences are shaping the industry.

  • Interpret sustainability and ethical considerations – Assess the impact of responsible event management and industry-wide sustainability initiatives.

  • Evaluate industry best practices through case studies – Study successful event models to understand operational excellence.

  • Stay informed on legal and compliance frameworks – Gain knowledge of laws, policies, and regulations affecting event coordination.

  • Utilise information sources for professional development – Learn strategies for ongoing learning and staying updated with industry changes.

This module develops students' knowledge of the foundational processes and components that contribute to successful event management.

 

Students will gain the skills to:

    • Understand event production requirements – Analyse key elements involved in delivering different types of events.

  • Summarise event component needs – Identify and define technical, operational, and logistical requirements.

  • Develop structured work schedules – Learn how to outline key activities, interdependencies, and timelines.

  • Integrate safety, risk, and sustainability considerations – Examine how industry professionals ensure compliance and responsible event management.

 

Provides a strong theoretical understanding of how events are structured, managed, and executed within professional industry frameworks.

 

D003.  Venue & Vendor Search and Coordination

 

Selecting appropriate venues and coordinating suppliers is crucial to successful event delivery. This module provides students with the expertise to assess, compare, and understand venue and vendor selection processes.

 

Students will gain knowledge in:

  • Venue sourcing and selection criteria – Evaluate key factors such as location, capacity, amenities, and accessibility.

  • Contract negotiation and legal considerations – Understand essential contractual elements when working with venues and suppliers.

  • Vendor management and procurement processes – Learn how event professionals identify and work with suppliers for services such as catering, AV, and production.

  • Site inspections and feasibility assessments – Understand how venues are assessed for suitability based on event objectives and requirements.
